Igloo Lacrosse Plays Santa for St Christopher-Ottilie Child and Family Services Center

On December 21st, 2014 – Team Igloo 2022 5th grade team for the second year has played Santa to boys and girls of the St Christopher – Ottilie Child and Family Service Center located in Nassau County. SCO provides unconditional care to homeless families, struggling teenagers, and families at risk to disabled adults. The boys of Team Igloo 2022 enjoyed another opportunity to realize what the holiday season is truly all about; “Giving”. Each family and Igloo player purchased gifts to hand to families and kids attending the SOC Center. “It’s a chance for our boys to realize that there are others in the world who are not as fortunate. To get the boys thinking at an early age that giving of your time, effort, resources, and love should be a vital part of who they are” said Coach Jason Stadler.  Coach Keith Cromwell said, “To watch the boys faces as they hand a gift over to another and watch their face light up; I believe it’s a feeling that the boys never forget”.   This is the second year Team Igloo 2022 has played Santa; but overall Team Igloo has supported the St Christopher-Ottilie Child and Family Services Center for the last three years.
